Three British Royal Navy war ships accompanying a US Navy vessel, were intercepted by Iranian patrol boats and escorted to change and correct the formation’s initial course, sailing in the Strait of Hormuz.

The USS Invincible, is a spy tracking ship, packed with considerable radar equipment and other (scientific) instruments. These type of ships are usually deployed to monitor and track foreign missile launches and provide important data back to the command center.

The West has warned Iran to stop their medium-range ballistic missile tests, which already have led to new sanctions from the United States, and a strongly worded warning from the Trump administration.

The US Spy Ship in the Strait of Hormuz was finally forced to change directions after it came within 600 yards of multiple Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps vessels.

The Strait of Hormuz is just off the Iranian coastline, east of the Persian Gulf, through which nearly a third of all oil traded by sea is transported. The US Navy base in Bahrain, would be razed to the ground by retaliatory Iranian missiles if the West tries to attack Iran.
