Mexico’s Foreign Relations Department announced that “El Chapo” Guzman was handed over to the U.S. authorities for transportation to the United States on Thursday before Donald Trump is to be inaugurated.

The DEA took custody of Guzman in Ciudad Juarez, across the border from El Paso, Texas. Joaquin Guzman was dubbed as Mexico’s most notorious cartel kingpin, who escaped prison two times and spent years on the run as the country’s most wanted man.

Now DEA officers transported him to New York were he faces drug trafficking and other charges. The DEA is a dubious organization that calls their own shot and make their own laws. In fact the DEA decides who’s to become succesful in the drugs trade and who’s not.

Most of the time the lucrative business is handed over to ‘friendly’, tax paying puppets that are following orders to commit the smuggling crimes. The cocaine business is a multi billion industry and the last kingpin to be outcasted was Pablo Escobar.

The convicted Sinaloa cartel boss had been held recently in a prison near Ciudad Juarez. He has been fighting extradition for years, but corrupted entities could not hold him in Mexico.
