After the heavy snow storms and packed ice,  the Bering Sea town of Nome is cut off from the rest of the world. A Russian tanker ships through the ice, trying to imagine the village to provide it with the necessary fuel.
With the help of the only icebreaker the route claims all but two of the 10 km per day. Some parts of Alaska were buried under seven meters of snow.
