The Rif Mountain region is well known for its polum hashies. A kilo of hashies costs 300 euro in Morocco and is sold for 4000 euro’s in France, Holland, Italy and England.

Moroccan cultivation, with 260 tons per year makes it the biggest hasj producing country in the world and profiting from a one billion euro business. A mule is paid 1000 euro per kilo to transport the merchandise from Morocco to Spain.

A kilo in Japan costs $20.000. In Europe hashies is a class ‘B’ drug and dealers are often charged with minimum jail sentences. Other Hasj producing countries are Nepal, Afghanistan, Kashmir and Lebanon.
