Black Sea Fleet Commander, Admiral Alexander Vitko told reporters that the arrival of their fourth submarine completed the formation of the submarine group of the fleet.

The Krasnodar set off for a mission to Crimea four months ago. The diesel-electric submarine has now arrived to join the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. During its voyage, and prior to its arrival, the Krasnodar conducted two successful attacks on ISIS positions in Syria.

A ceremony was held in the city of Sevastopol on August 9, 2017 to celebrate the arrival of the Krasnodar. The commander of the submarine expressed gratitude to relatives and friends of the sailors, who came to see their husbands and fathers in Crimea.
