Russia has delivered the sixth and last diesel-electric “Kilo-class” submarine to Hanoi. The Varshvyanka-class submarine was transported from St.Petersburg, Russia to Cam Ranh Bay in central Vietnam on a Dutch heavy load transport ship.

Varshavyanka-class submarines displace 3.950 ton when fully loaded and submerged. They are nearly 243 feet long with a submerged speed of as much of 25 knots and a range up to 7.000 miles.

Russia delivered the six submarines under a 2009 agreement to Vietnam.
