The Russian Federation urged the United Nations to examine and conclude the Malaysian Airlines crash. The U.N. Security Council Resolution 2166 was unanimously adopted by all 15 members of the Security Council, including Russia on July 22, 2104.

The plane on route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, operated as a KLM/MH-17 code sharing flight that crashed in Ukraine causing death to almost 200 Dutch citizens.

Russia urged for the U.N. to continue the investigation of the accident in accordance with the international civil aviation guidelines. Several German military experts have concluded that the plane was shot down by 30mm rounds fired from a Ukrainian Su-25 fighter jet.

The western media stopped reporting over the tragedy as trashing and blaming Russia turned out to be a false flag operation by most of the international media agencies.

The United Nations Security Council promised to deliver a interim report before the end of August.
