Sweden has filed a lawsuit against Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, charging him for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

Erdogan’s role in the bloody conflict between the US-led coalition (NATO) against Syria and Iraq was not the core subject of the lawsuit, but the genocide against the Kurdish people seems to be the main accusation. Five Swedish lawmakers handling the complaint, requesting punishment for war crimes against humanity.

The decision on the lawsuit will be made by Sweden’s prosecutor, who will launch an investigation into the complaint and decides if the accusations will be accepted. The legislation could even lead to an arrest warrant for Erdogan in Sweden.

Anyone, who in order to completely or partially destroy a national or ethnic group of people is guilty of genocide! Earlier the Israeli PM, Netanyahu was convicted for war crimes against humanity by the Spanish authorities, and will now be arrested if he visits Spain.

However, Erdogan has imposed unprecedented pressure over Turkish activists, journalists and people since 2015. The oppressions got harsher after a suspicious coup in July 2016, after which Erdogan arrested and executed large number of military and political characters across Turkey.

Erdogan has also supported NATO and ISIS in the genocide against the Syrian and Iraqi people.
