When the USA wants a regime change, it used to be done in secret by the Central Intelligence Agency (*CIA), especially when that country had a democratically elected government. Nowadays, the regime change projects have grown bolder and are done in plain sight.
Historic examples of covert US plots are Iran (1953), Guatemala (1954), Chili (1973), Nicaragua (1980), Iraq (1991), Haiti (2006), Honduras (2009), Libya (2010), Syria (2011), Ukraine (2014) and Venezuela 2016).
The bloody project in Syria is still raging, while the body count is mounting, and leaving millions of refugees homeless, living in tent extermination camps in the region. The few “lucky ones” have migrated to Europe in a mass exodus.
The (covert) CIA operations start with funding millions of dollars to the political parties of the oligarchs in order to destabilize the sovereignty of targeted, mostly oil-rich or geo-strategic countries. Backed by Washington politicians, the defenses of the victimized nations are weakened in order to militarily invade the twisted countries.
At the same time, the mainstream media spreads the propaganda, that the democratically choses leaders are dictators and that they are killing their own people, to cover up the intentional murders being committed by the CIA. The mainstream media keeps repeating the lies for the audience to accept the propaganda at one point in time.
Anyone that still has illusions that the US mainstream media is free and independent should be banned to from living on this planet. Even Donald Trump now admitted that most of the media is fake, while right-wing fascists, better known as “prominent businessmen”, are ordered to replace the ousted or murdered leaders and take charge to rule the occupied territory.
The USA has been perfecting its “regime change techniques”, camouflaging them as “democracy promotion”, while the CIA and US military continue to undermine the heisted sovereign community.
Regime change is being perfected by sophisticated public relations (PR) using marketing strategies, like image control, word selection, constant ‘news’ repetition, negative campaigns, mass media, false propaganda and mind shock. The public justification for ousting democratically elected head of states is cynically said to be democracy promotion and the so-called protection of human rights.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the USA has been on a mission of global hegemony, known as the Wolfowitz doctrine. The most immediate task is to make certain that no state or combination of states gains the capacity to expel the United States from its decisive arbitration role.
The USA is imposing world hegemony by military might, political arm twisting and economic domination. The military might of the USA is backed by its trillion-dollar annual budget and over thousand military outposts in every region of the world, interlocking military alliances such as NATO, and it apparatus of covert special para-military forces and cyber surveillance.
Economic hegemony requires controlling world organizations, such as the UN, IMF, World Bank, mega international corporations and maintaining control over world financial transactions in the US dollar.
Nobody and nothing can stop this drive for indoctrination, because the USA will not hesitate to kill millions of people to maintain every link in the chain of hegemony. It’s now harder to control, but easier to kill a million people. Those finally became collateral damage, for the benefit of the US Empire. The number of people killed for the sake of democracy and human rights is zero.
Now the USA is saying that the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro should leave office, or Washington has the right to remove him from power. The Bush administration tried and failed to do precisely that in April of 2002, and Washington has never stopped waiting for its next best moment to dispose the democratically elected socialist government in Caracas. Capisce?
The economic and political crisis in Venezuela was partially created by one-sided reporting as a prelude to possible upcoming invasion. The USA wants control over the largest oil reserves in the world, and nothing will change that greedy habit!
