US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asked Israel to help deport the controversial Western-backed White Helmets ‘terrorist medics” from Syria.

Trump described the White Helmets, who have been accused of cooperating with terrorists and faking chemical attacks, as “people who saved lives” in the battle against the Syrian government.

The members of the White Helmets came under life-threatening danger after the Syrian Army started a final liberation offense against Western-backed terrorists in southern Syria. In the end Damascus gave them a free pass to safety, instead of killing them all together in the Syrian Proxy War.

Israel deported several hundred White Helmet staff and their families from the Golan Heights region in Syria to Jordan overnight on Saturday. Meanwhile, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced that the country is willing to house at least eight members of the medical rescue group, along with their families.

The initial plan reportedly involved the deportation of 800 members, but the Jordanian authorities later said that only 422 made it into the country, meaning half of the crew did not make it or was left behind in Syria or Israel?

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas also confirmed Berlin’s intention to take in the White Helmets, but reported that the total number, including family members accepted by Germany, could reach 50, meaning that they would not need to apply for asylum upon their arrival on German soil.
