The UNHRC inquiry indiscriminately concluded that Syrian pro-government forces were guilty of crimes against humanity and war crimes due to the fact that they had launched a liberation offense on protected facilities (?) and residential areas in eastern Ghouta.

However, the Western-backed terrorists and their so-called families had the change to give themselves up and leave the besieged and occupied area near Damascus before the final assault to liberate the city started.

Up to 50,000 other civilians were transported to the Aleppo and Idlib provinces under evacuation agreements reached between the government and militant groups operating in Eastern Ghouta.

The Syrian government and allied forces had conducted Operation Damascus Steel to drive out the remaining terrorists controlling Eastern Ghouta.

Two months ago, the Syrian government forces liberated Eastern Ghouta and Eastern Qalamoun as well as the southern districts of the Syrian capital from invading terrorists. By mid-April, when the area was recaptured by Damascus, around 140,000 Syrians had been displaced, the UN statement pointed out.

The Syrian Army uncovered dozens of dead bodies in mass graves. At some point, the Syrian government troops discovered 172 bodies buried in a mass grave located in al-Shifouniyeh Farms in Eastern Ghouta, Fars News Agency reports.
